It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Shinji Wakamatsu, former Director and Head of Sales at Nanophoton Corporation (now Nanophoton – a Bruker Company), on January 21, 2025.

Mr. Wakamatsu returned to Japan from the United States during the founding of Nanophoton Corporation and played a pivotal role as Director and Head of Sales. With the dream of bringing Nanophoton’s products to the world, he tirelessly traveled across the globe, passionately leading sales efforts and participating in exhibitions. His dedication and contributions greatly shaped the company’s growth and laid the foundation for what Nanophoton is today.
